Welcome to St. Peter’s College.

We are a proud Catholic Community with a focus on Christ at the centre of our learning. Our aim is to ensure that our students become successful life-long learners, ready to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.

What this means is that whatever new situation or environment our students find themselves in, in the future, they will feel confident in their ability to learn new knowledge and skills.

This confidence in their ability to learn is acquired in an environment where they will be stimulated to question and inquire, be asked to practise, be given feedback, encouraged to take risks and challenged to take responsibility for their learning so they can become the best person they can be. In this website we aim to give you a taste of school life at St. Peter’s College, to see our wonderful facilities, gain an insight into the curriculum and subject choices, available to all students, as well as listen to some of the teachers and students who work here.

As a Catholic school we have a strong belief in the dignity of each child in our care, because each one of us is made in the image of God, this gives us a framework for how we educate, how we provide discipline and how we provide support and pastoral care for our students.

We want our students to develop all their gifts, achieve their full potential, so we provide many opportunities for them to develop, not only in the core areas of literacy and numeracy, but also in areas of the Arts, Technology, Languages, Humanities, Sciences, Health and Physical Education.

A holistic approach to education is what we provide and we believe this prepares students successfully for life after school. Ensuring that they have both the knowledge and skills, such as, communication, teamwork, critical thinking, technology use and problem solving which will allow them to adapt to an ever changing world.

Our school motto “Be Not Afraid “ is very important to our students. It not only captures our approach to learning, where risk-taking is an important part of the learning process, but it is also a reminder about faith in Christ, that Christ will be with us every step of the way, not only at St. Peter’s College, but wherever life’s journey takes us.
