Year 8 Curriculum

Year 8

At Year 8, students continue on from Year 7 in terms of having broad access to the different learning areas while continuing to deepen their knowledge and skills of core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Religious Education, Health and Physical Education, Japanese or French and Science. In Technology, they are introduced to Food Studies and Media.


Year 8 Curriculum – Cranbourne Campus

At our Cranbourne Campus, Year 8 students undertake 13 subjects made up of 7 year long core subjects and 6 semester based electives (3 each Semester). Subjects run over a 10 day timetable cycle, with 5 periods per day as well as Tutor Group each morning and one Pastoral Period per cycle.

At our Clyde North Campus, Year 8 students undertake 10 subjects made up of 8 year long core subjects and 2 semester based electives (1 each Semester). Subjects run over a 10 day timetable cycle, with 5 periods per day as well as Tutor Group each morning and one Pastoral Period per cycle.
